From the early stages of pregnancy, breasts are prepared to feed the baby that is about to born. Breasts start to experience changes and become more sensitive, besides they tend to swell up a little bit causing some discomfort.
Oxytocin, Prolactin, placental lactogen and luteinizing are the triggers for the change of size and alterations suffered by the bust, since they are involved in the process of production of breast milk. A meticulous care of breasts during pregnancy will be useful on a quick recovery after giving birth and it will relief possible inconveniences which are consequence of hormonal changes. There are special bras for maternity, they are recommended in order to provide a proper support to breasts during pregnancy, without them the ligaments are stretched and the breasts lose forever their support.
From the moment breasts size starts increasing until the sixth or eighth week it is highly recommended for a pregnant woman to wear a maternity bra with a sufficiently wide band beneath the cups, wide straps, and an adjustable comfortable clasp. If it is required, change the size of your bra for some other with bigger size as your breasts dimensions keep increasing. In case that the weight of your breasts becomes excessive, then you should wear a bra also during sleep time.
One of the biggest fears of women during pregnancy concerning to their breasts is the emergence of stretch marks, since depending on their intensity and the lack of hydration of the skin, they can become irreversible. This is why a key strategy to avoid stretch marks appearance is to apply a moisturizer cream or lotion with some frequency on the surface of the skin, it is quite necessary to dedicate at least some minutes each day to take care of breasts by means of massaging softly the skin with moisturizer products. During shower, you should avoid using soaps with chemical products.
